Dr. Lily Chen Hafteck of Kean University, Leader of Sub-Theme 3.1`s Quadcountry Songbook project, and Dr. Bing-Yi Pan from the University of Prince Edward Island, visit Professor Xie of the Chinese Conservatory, Professor Dafu Lai, and Yue Xiao, the graduate student in charge of the 3.1 Quadcountry songbook project in China.

Yue Xiao reports that the children being tested at a school in Beijing have been learning the songs quickly and with ease. A different group of children at a school in a smaller town are also very excited about the project, but it has taken them longer to learn the foreign songs because of their more limited exposure to foreign languages and cultures.
