My current research interests include elearning, new literacies, the new learners, and e-portfolios. I have a BA in psychology from the university of Toronto, an MEd in literacy from Mount St. Vincent University in Halifax, and a PhD in Psychopedagogy from the University of Ottawa.
I have been a singer of folk songs for many years
Research interestPedagogy, online learning and teaching, music to support learning in language arts classrooms, action research
Research interests relevant to AIRSI have developed a presentation on the history of PEI through song that I shared with students in numerous schools. I also collected PEI folksongs from a number of songmakers and singers on PEI. I transcribed this music, and made it available through the PEI Council of the Arts.
Potential contribution to AIRSI hope to upload the music I collected a number of years ago into the AIRS digital library. I also am looking forward to engaging in research in the local schools to explore singing to learn.
Expected benefit from the AIRS collaborationWorking with an engaging group of singers and researchers to conduct research in singing.
